Peppers are a wonderful addition to the summer garden in Loudoun County! They come in all colors and can be sweet to super hot and everything in between. If you have never tried them on the grill you are really missing out. The bell peppers are great for stuffing and do very well stored in the freezer for filling during the winter. Raw or cooked, they are a great source of fiber and vitamins. Of course, we all know about trying to pronounce "pickled peppers". In reality, it is just another way to enjoy the bounty the plants produce. Some varieties do very well potted on the deck, or even potted up from the garden when the first fall frost is imminent. Any flowers that have already been pollinated will still produce a pepper in the house, until all the flowers are used up. Speaking of pollination, our honey bees love our pepper flowers so it is just one more thing we can do to save the pollinators. All peppers will need as much sun as you can offer. Please check out the varieties we are offering for our seedlings for 2025.
